about that who runs this site
hi and hello!
i'm a complicated little beast and my name is still a complicated question, but the site that hosts my work is called kottik. this means kitty, which is exactly what many of me are.
this siterunner considers himself a free roaming housecat, a researcher, an eccentric, and a foster home for all that's contained within myself. according to my friends i am also a DID advocate, and a lovely person to boot.
my primary interests (and areas of research in real life) lie in mental health advocacy, dissociative disorders & multiplicity, the construction and control of unhumanised peoples (specifically psychopathologised identities and youth), and the words, labels, and communities with which we make sense of ourselves and the world around us. you'll probably see me write often (energy abiding) on DID and its media/social portrayal in particular. my friends hear me talk about this topic almost daily. one day when i have the energy, i will write it all down.
i like 2000s j-media and video games, in particular Zelda games and visual novels. i like treating every creature with respect, cozy spaces, and the outdoors. i like tidying, and i like cats.
in a year or so, hopefully, i will be able to begin my thesis on DID, Plurality, Multiplicity, and the Politics of Being Oneselves, my deep dive into the historic and persisting tensions between deterministic and medicalised identity sciences, on individuals that understand themselves as 'more than one'.
welcome to my site that i host on the internet.
